Furniture moving can be a cumbersome, stressful process for anyone trying to move to another home or office. Thankfully for your nerves — and your back — we’ll take care of all the heavy lifting. However, here are some things you can do beforehand that will make it easier for us to quickly and safely transport all the furniture you need.

Three Tips for Furniture Moving

  1. Clean the area of clutter. If there’s debris or obstructions underfoot, or fragile items like lamps nearby, it might make it difficult to maneuver your furniture safely.
  1. Clear the way to the exit. If there is no clear path to the door, it may take us a while to move your furniture. This is especially true for large furniture moving, where maneuvering around walls already presents a challenge.
  1. Defrost your fridge and freezer early. This is one that slips a lot of people’s minds when thinking of furniture moving, but refrigerators and freezers have to be defrosted at least 24 hours before you move them. Remove the food from your fridge and freezer and put them on ice in coolers, then set down some towels and unplug your fridge. The day of the move, give the inside a quick wipe-down to get rid of any remaining moisture and food remnants. This way, no unexpected water leaks out in the moving van, possibly damaging your boxes.

When we arrive, we will work with you to make sure everything is in order and ready to move. Our number-one priority is getting all of your furniture moved safely and efficiently.
